"Peaceful Easy Feeling" Original Mixed Media Painting on 24x24 Canvas
How often we've stood
in the ruins of what we loved,
certain nothing beautiful
could ever grow there again.
And yet, beneath it all,
life continues its quiet work.
To find beauty in what is passing.
To know that everything we hold dear belongs,
in some measure,
to time.
Maybe this is why we gather flowers,
to hold, if only for a moment,
what time will not let us keep.
And to remember that some things,
however briefly they are ours,
remain with us forever.
Meaning Behind the Painting
Some of the most beautiful things in life are fleeting, yet the love and meaning they leave behind become a permanent part of who we are.
The orchid reminds us how precious and delicate life is, while the pomegranate suggests that even the most fleeting things can leave something lasting.
