"Secret Wonders" Hand Embellished 24k Gold Canvas Print Signed

There are still people
who kneel beside tide pools,
who pocket stones shaped like moons,
who pause mid-sentence
because a flock of birds turned suddenly
and for one impossible second
became a single living thought.

I used to believe wonder
was something enormous.
Lightning splitting the sea.
Some sudden gesture
Of impossible grandeur

But now I think it’s a subtle thing…

In that familiar habit
of stopping to watch rain gather in the street,
as though some ancient part of us
still believes the sky is trying to say something.

The child inside us still reaches outward.
Still presses her hands into river water
to feel the current answer back.
Still believes certain moments
arrive carrying hidden messages.

Maybe wonder is not naïve at all,
but a form of resistance.
A refusal to become blind
to what is sacred…
simply because it is familiar.

Even sorrow, at times,
opens like a dark flower
revealing something luminous inside it.

And maybe…

That’s what saves us in the end.
